For the last three days (25-27 April) Becky and Caroline transferred us to another world: world of earth and clay building. We learned how to build walls from earth and clay, how to plaster, how to make dorodango and how to extract your own pigments. I cant summarize what we learned but pictures tell more than 1000 words. Soil sourcing and testing, fibrous mixes, structural mud, framed daub, earth coatings and decoration.
